The atonement
is the scarify Jesus Christ made on our behalves laying down His own life and
taking upon himself all the sins of the world, He suffered great anguish all
infirmities and bore the
transgressions of the world, He who was spotless paid the demands for
justice then he was resurrected breaking the chains of death. We break the laws of God leaving
us exposed to the chains of death, we can not satisfy the demands of justice on
our own even if we never commit a sin we would still fall short, that is why we
needed a Savior and a redeemer. Only
through our Lord Jesus Christ’s sacrifice we have hope of eternal
progression, our sins are washed clean and He becomes the intermediary and our
advocate before the Father and through his mercy we are redeemed and our sins
are forgiven.

“Godly sorrow inspires change and hope through
the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Worldly sorrow pulls us down,
extinguishes hope, and persuades us to give in to further
temptation.” DIETER F. UCHTDORF “You

Begotten of the Father. He is He who was slain and He who liveth again. He is

“The Savior met another test on Golgotha, where He
could have called upon legions of angels to take Him down from the cross, but
He made His own choice to obediently endure to the end and complete His atoning
sacrifice, even though it meant great suffering, even death.” ROBER D. HALES "If you love me Keep My

“Christ endured. Upon Him the burden of all human
transgression, all human guilt… the Atonement. Through His willing act, mercy
and justice could be reconciled, eternal law sustained, and that mediation
achieved without which mortal man could not be redeemed.” BOYD K. PACKER “Atonement, Agency Accountability” April

“There is no greater expression of love than the
heroic Atonement performed by the Son of God. Were it not for the plan of our
Heavenly Father, established before the world began, in a very real sense, all
mankind—past, present, and future—would have been left without the hope of
eternal progression. As a result of Adam’s transgression, mortals were
separated from God (see Rom. 6:23) and would be forever unless a way was found to
break the bands of death. This would not be easy, for it required the vicarious
sacrifice of one who was sinless and who could therefore take upon Himself the
sins of all mankind.” M. RUSSELL BALLARD “The
Atonement and the Value of One Soul” April 2004, General Conference https://www.lds.org/ensign/2004/05/the-atonement-and-the-value-of-one-soul
“When we break a law, there is nothing left over from
prior obedience to satisfy the demands of justice for that broken law. The
